Black Knights take the " Rematch " with Ledford !

The Black Knights travelled to Ledford this evening on a mission...to take their " A " game to the Panthers and get their 5th victory in a row. By playing an uptempo game combined with a smothering defense, the Knights came away with a convincing 48-24 victory! Playing in front of a packed house that raised the noise and excitement level to heights rarely seen this season, the Knights came out drom the opening tip and let the home team they meant business. With Caleb Moore back in the starting lineup tonight, the Knights were able to play their style of game by taking the ball to the Pnathers and getting numerous turnovers with their aggressive defense. After 1 period, the Knights trailed 10-9, but found their stride in the 2nd period and took the lead for good with a 17-7 run and lead at the half 26-17. Coming out in the 3rd, the Knights outscored the Panthers 14-3 and built their lead to 40-20 after 3 in route to a 48-24 win ! Once again, Caleb Moore continued to lead the Knights by puting up 20 points in the win as he came back from an ankle injury and setting out Monday's game to heal. The Black Knights now will prepare for the tournament and we will have their opponent and game times as soon as they are released. One thing for sure, the Knights are playing great now and seem to be peaking at the right time..tournament time!

Black Knights Win 4th In A Row !

The NDMS Black Knights continued their recent winning streak by defeating South Davidson this evening 58-37 . The first quarter set the tone for the game as the Wildcats jumped out to a 14-10 first period lead. The Black Knights "woke up " in the second period and outscored South Davidson 15-6 to take a 25-20 halftime lead. The halftime pep talk by Coach Everhart must have been a good one, as the Knights played fast and aggressive in the 3rd period to pull away by outscoring South Davidson 19-5 and were able to stay in front the remainder of the game. With Caleb Moore, their leading scorer on the bench with an ankle injury, the team came together and played great to post their 4th victory in a row.Bradley Wilkes and Cameron Easter had huge games as they both put up 17 points each for the Knights ! The Black Knights are back in action on Thursday and it is a BIG game as they travel to Ledford for their final regular season game. Here's hoping that Caleb Moore will be healthy and ready as Ledford always poses a huge challenge and even more so this week as the tournament is just around the corner! Come out to Ledford Thursday afternoon and support our NDMS Black Knights at 4:30 for the ladies game first followed by the men ! Go Black Knights!

Knights Win 3rd In A Row !

The NDMS Black Knights came back from the holiday break and continued their winning ways with a 56-24 victory over Central Davidson this evening. In the 1st period, the Knights jumped out to an early lead, despite having many of their shots finding the rim, but not falling in . The Black Knights continued to hustle and get numerous turnovers by playing their swarming defense which allowed many opportunities for scoring. Once again, Caleb Moore led the way in scoring with 16 points!. Caleb has been on quite a streak as he has led the team for the past 3 games in scoring ! The Black Knights were able to post a 13-6 lead after 1 period and managed to hold Central to just 2 points in route to a 29-8 halftime lead. Building on the lead, the Knights were able to susbtitute in the 3rd and final periods and post another victory. The Black Knights are back in action on Monday at home as they take on South Davidson . The Ladies play at 4:30 , followed by the men. Come out and support our NDMS Black Knights as they have 2 more regular season games, the last one next Thursday the 26th in a rematch with Ledford .

Black Knights Defeat the Bruins

The Black Knights continued where they left off on Monday at Tyro by taking on the Brown Bruins and coming away with a 62-37 victory this evening. Once again, the Knights were led by Caleb Moore as he continued to lead the way in scoring with 16 points. Cameron Easter was right with him with 15 points. Kennedy McKoy tallied 10 points and Kenneth Dellinger had 8. Austin Gilyard added 5 points with Joe Butts posting 4 points also. Garrett Griffith and Matthew Essick also added 2 points each. The Black Knights are off for the holiday Monday and resume action at Central Davidson on Thursday, Jan.19th.

Knights Win At Tyro

The NDMS Black Knights travelled to Tyro to take on the Green Dragons Monday evening and came away with a 71-22 victory. This was the second time this season these two teams met , and the Black Knights were off and running from the opening tip. After posting a 21-6 lead after the first period, the Knights continued to play hard and raced out to a 37-9 halftime lead. Caleb Moore had an outstanding game, putting up 20 points for the Black Knights. In the second half, the Knights were able to give the starters some rest and enable all of the team to get some game time. The Green Dragons played hard and continued to hustle the entire game, even thought they were at a distinct height advantage, they definitely have the speed and the heart. The Knights led 52-14 after 3 periods and scored 19 points in the 4th quarter with the starters resting, which should be a good sign for the future for the Knights ! The Black Knights are back in action on Thursday as they take on Brown at NDMS. Come out to support the Knights...the Lady Knights start at 4:30 followed by the men. Go NDMS Black Knights !

Black Knights Fall to Ledford 47-39

The Black Knights took on the Ledford Panthers this evening in front of a packed house and came up on the short end of a 47-39 score. From the opening tip-off, everyone could tell this was gonna be an action packed game! The Black Knights jumped out early to a 12 point lead, only to see the Panthers come storming back to make it 23-19 at the half. The second half was a different game as Ledford managed to outscore the Black Knights 16-7 in the 3rd and take a lead they would hold onto. The Black Knights hung tough and played with intensity, but were unable to overcome the Panthers in the end. Kennedy McKoy led the Black Knights with 15 points, followed by Caleb Moore who added 14 points, despite having to play the second half with 4 fouls .Kenneth Dellinger added 6 points, with Joe Butts and Cameron Easter with 2 points each. Ledford was led in scoring by Johnathan Turner and Say Quan Moore with 10 points each. The Black Knights will be back in action on Monday at Tyro . Good Luck Black Knights !!
NDMS Black Knights Defeat the Central MS Spartans

The NDMS Black Knigts were at home this afternoon vs. the Central Spartans. The Black Knights came to play and posted an impressive 50-27 victory.
Leading the way in scoring for the Knights was Kennedy McKoy with 13 points. Caleb Moore added 12 points and Cameron Easter poured in 10 points also.
The game allowed for many pf the Black Knights to put up points as Matthew Essick added 5 pts., Blake Lanning had 3 points,while Jackson Meadows , Kenneth Dellinger and Mason Woodruff added 2 points each with Beau Byerly scoring 1 pt. also to round out the Knights scoring. The Black Knights will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to South Davidson . Game time is 6:00 pm. Come out and support the NDMS Black Knights !!

North Davidson Middle Men Slay the Dragons !!

Coming off a strong performance against Lexington last Thursday. the MS Black Knights came out where they left off last week and defeated the Tyro Dragons handily 64-21.
The Black Knights were able to spread the playing time after jumping out to an early lead. This provided scoring opportunities for many of the Black Knights who came on in relief as early as 4:41 seconds into the 1st quarter.
The Green Dragons are a talented team that , despite a difference in height to the Black Knights, made up for it with speed. It was eveident that they were well coached and could be very good as they continue to mature and play together.
The Black knights were led in scoring again by Caleb Moore with 17 points . Kennedy McKoy followed with 11 points and Cameron Easter had 9 points. Here are the rest of the Knights that posted points tonight:

North Middle Men Take " The Rematch " Over Lexington

In a rematch from just 2 weeks ago at Lexington, the NDMS Black Knights came out ready for action! The Knights jumped out to an early lead and continued to play with the intensity they needed to stay in front of a talented Lexington Yellow Jacket team. The Knights were led by Caleb Moore with 23 points, a season high for him, Cameron Easter poured in 15 points also, despite going down in the 2nd quarter with what appeared to be a serious lower ankle injury. He regrouped and came out as the Knights continued to press and rebound all night, something they were missing at the Lexington game earlier !
Kenneth Dellinger also had 11 points and Kennedy McCoy added 5 points.The home crowd was into the game and it was obvious that Coach Everhart and Coach Gooch had the guys ready for this game and they responded as we know they will...with heart and determination!
The NDMS Men will be back in action Monday at home vs. Tyro . Come out for some exciting hoops action and support our Knights!
